Chrissy Nickerson--Canadian Landscape Painter
Chrissy Nickerson has been rendering the Canadian landscape from coast to coast as a professional artist, since 2001. Her featured works represent the Acadian marshes, the Ontario Bruce Trail, the wild rivers and lakes of the Yukon and the Albertan Rocky Mountains. She proudly carried home her watercolour paintings from kindergarten and she continues today, painting what she sees in nature and bringing home landscape canvases of exceptional craftsmanship. Her Art Education in Nova Scotia and Florence, Italy has given her a solid foundation on which to focus landscape art. She continues to evolve in the mastery of landscape oil painting.
Chrissy Nickerson--Albertan Landscape Painter
Living and working in Canmore, Alberta since 2006, Chrissy Nickerson’s greatest percentage of work gives unique interpretation of the mountains, trees and skies near her home. Bold use of colour and imaginative representation of nature are hallmarks of her work. Policeman’s Creek is one of her favourite places to capture with oil on canvas. Her landscape paintings have names like: “Where the Goats Are” (Highway 1A between Canmore and Exshaw), “Now Here” (East Ridge of Mount Rundle), “Their Home” (Grisly Bears in Kananaskis), “Heart Mountain” (Exshaw). Varied seasonal pallets of Alberta’s Wild Rose Country give Chrissy Nickerson unlimited inspiration for her work as a landscape artist. Locals recognize Chrissy with her orange wheelbarrow as she transports her easel and paint box to painting sites around town. People like to stop and chat with her as she works beside a creek or in an open meadow, rendering from life works that end up adorning living room walls.
Chrissy Nickerson--Noted Fine Art Landscape Artist

Examples of her work are found in many private and public collections across Canada and she has exhibited widely across Canada in both solo and group exhibitions. Many consignment works are to her credit as well. Chrissy teaches workshops and individual clients and plays a pivotal role as an arts advocate in her local community.
